Right to
become a member |
| 1. |
A person, who qualifies with the conditions laid down below has
a right to apply for registration of membership- |

(a) |
being one who has applied
for registration with the Department of Marine Administration to
serve in any capacity in a sea-going vessel duly registered either
in Myanmar or in a foreign country. |
| |
(b) |
being one who has at least a year's
sea service in a foreign registe-red sea-going vessel. |
| |
(c) |
being a Citizen, Associate Citizen or a Naturalised
Citizen. |
| |
(d) |
having completed 18 years of age. |
| |
(e) |
being one completed to discharge the duties laid down
in this Constitution. |
| |
| Applying for membership |
| 1. |
A seafarer who qualifies with the conditions laid down as mentioned
above, must apply in form (1) to the Executive Committee, if he desire
to become a members of the Association. |
| 2. |
The Executive Committee
Member on receipt of the application may accept or reject the application
on scrutiny. |
| 3, |
The Executive Committee shall enter the seafarer's name in form
(2), if he has been accepted to become a member. |
| 4. |
The Executive Committee shall issue a membership card in form (3)
to the seafarer who has been accepted as a member of the Association. |
